My son Charlie and Nan Giordano’s late son Keenan were dear friends and teammates, beginning with youth hockey and through high school and college. I loved and miss Keenan.

Through our sons I got to know Nan and the great work of Giordano Dance Chicago and its storied history.

I am the father of 5 adult children who regularly embarrassed myself and them on the dance floors of many weddings and special events.  As such, why not continue the embarrassment on a grander scale???

In all seriousness, Giordano Dance Chicago is an important institution and I believe we should all challenge ourselves by doing things out of our comfort zone. And this is WAY WAY out of mine!

I’m participating in Dancing With The Giordano Stars to challenge myself, support a wonderful organization and to do so while thinking of how much Charlie and Keenan would be laughing at me.  Frankly, that warms my heart!
