I moved to Chicago six years ago after growing up in California, and spending my adult life in New York. 6 years later, I look back with gratitude in finding the city that will be my long term home. Part of what makes Chicago so especial is its sense of community.
I want to give back to a community that has brought be joy, hope, and inspiration. I found myself in the arts as a child, and even though my professional career took a very different path, I wouldn’t be the person I am today without having found my identity in the arts. I’m a big believer that art changes lives, and anything I can do enable that kind of change in my community is an honor.
I’m so excited to rekindle the stage persona that had laid dormant since I was doing show choir and musicals in high school and college. Although one ever considered me a good dancer, I'm grateful to be able to not care what people think anymore, and get on stage, putting my heart on the line for a greater cause.
